Should a kriya practitioner establish an ashram?

One should never establish an ashram. Lahiri Mahasaya never encouraged the establishment of ashrams. Creating an ashram runs completely counter to his wishes. There are lots of negative aspects in establishing an ashram. Today the original Kriya Yoga became fake Kriya Yoga because of ashram people.

It is true that at an early point in his teaching of Kriya Yoga, Swami Pranabananda established in ashram. This ashram was located in the same neighborhood where Lahiri Mahasaya lived. Later on, Swami Pranabananda renounced an ashram that he might have inherited and whose endowment would have afforded him a comfortable lifestyle; after that experience, he steadfastly refused all efforts to entangle him in the establishment of an ashram.
