After what had gone down at Mona’s house, I drove around aimlessly. I was so fucking mad with Charice that I didn’t know what to think or do. All those years of fucking with Ryan had truly made her just like him. Never in a million years would I have suspected that she’d be such a low-down schemer.

Truth be told, it wasn’t losing Mona that pissed me off. I liked Mona, but I could survive without her. I hadn’t attached myself like that to her. How could I? I was still fighting feelings for Charice. Besides, I didn’t need a woman who was more concerned with it being the three of us than the two of us. The next thing she would’ve been asking for is another man in the picture, and that was not gonna go down. There was no way I could love a woman who could go to such great lengths just to hurt me. Faking to be bisexual and purposefully screwing me just to get me caught up? It takes a sick individual to come up with some shit like that. It’s like I didn’t even know her anymore.

One thing I did know was that regardless of how she felt about me or Ryan, she wasn’t going to take Lexi away from me without allowing me to be in my daughter’s life. Crazy or not, she was gonna see straight fuckin’ loco if she tried me with that bullshit. Even though I dreaded having to deal with her, I would just have to force myself to put up with her for the sake of Lexi. She was most important.

It still didn’t stop me from being disappointed in Charice. She was more than what she’d allowed herself to become. This new Charice was immature and unattractive, and it turned me off. If she wasn’t careful, she wasn’t going to be able to make it work with any man, not just me or Ryan.

As I pulled up at my house, I saw Charice’s garage door letting down. I had to see her. Confront her. I didn’t give a damn if Ryan or the kids were there. I was gonna get everything off my chest and put down my ground rules about Lexi.
