For what felt like the hundredth time, I explained to Samir that we couldn’t be together, but this time I threw in the facts that I knew about his street dealings. He hadn’t changed, now he was more known than before. I was not the girl who thought that shit was cute anymore. I had shit to lose and for the price of love, it wasn’t worth the risk. This man had done popped up here unannounced and I was wondering how the hell he even knew where I was. It didn’t dawn on me until later that I had given him this address last night, but he never brought me here.

I couldn’t lie like we didn’t have a good night together last night, it felt like we were best friends and lovers all over again. He didn’t try anything like I had expected him to, and I was surprised. With the love that I had for him still, I knew that staying around him would have ended badly, so I caught an Uber here and tried to sneak away from his ass. That didn’t work. Here he was, begging like Keith Sweat after I said no, several times. I also tried explaining to him that I’m not single, but he didn’t want to hear that either. The nigga was not letting up and he was putting me in a fucked up position. Even just laying here with him now was enough to be considered cheating, not to mention of Brent knew that I had taken a shower and slept in the same bed with this nigga, it would break his heart and possibly end our relationship. I didn’t want that to happen.

“You keep making excuses but you still laying here on me right now. Let shit happen and stop trying to push me away. If you were truly happy, you would’ve kicked me out by now. Whoever the nigga is that you got, you know he don’t have your heart the way that I do. You wanna live your life being miserable to make that nigga happy? If you go back home to him, you are not gonna be happy. You gonna spend everyday wondering what could have been with me, so you’ve gonna end up losing that nigga anyway. Let’s not waste anymore time. Call the nigga and let him know that it’s over.” Samir smirked, and I tried getting up off of him but he held me in place. Right on cue, my phone started vibrating on the table in front of us, then a picture of Brent and I popped up on the screen, as Brent called me. Samir leaned over as if he was about to pick it up and answer it.

I placed my arm around his neck and damn near had him in a headlock. We was about to be thumpin’ in here before I allowed him to do that. As I damn near choked him out, he stood up lifting me off the ground as he laughed.
