By Friday, Asher knew he was in deep where Emilia was concerned. Initially, he’d believed that, when he gave in and took her to bed they would enjoy each other, but the fascination, the lust, and driving need would wane.

They had not.

Not even a little bit. If anything, his craving for her had grown to epic heights.

She was his in no uncertain terms. He wanted to collar her in a ceremony at Eros, which on the level of commitment, for him, was massive. He had never even considered collaring a submissive. But with Emilia, he wanted her wearing his brand, wanted every man to know she belonged to him, and watch her wear his ownership with pride.

It left him having thoughts at the oddest times. She had shifted his entire world view. For instance, he was considering applying for the promotion to be a supervisor of his entire department. It came with more stability, while decreasing the chance of him getting transferred to another field office.

At work, he found himself practicing and rehearsing in his mind what he would tell her brothers when they went public with their relationship. Because, make no mistake, he and Emilia were in a relationship.

And that was when he wasn’t immersed in another fantasy, thinking up all the things he wanted to do with her gorgeous body.

Jesus. He was already wrapped around her pinky. And considering commitment at levels he’d never considered before with any woman—and not just collaring, but marriage too.

That was why he was taking her on a date tonight. A real one. Not one that was for show for her stalker. He’d made a reservation at this swanky Asian fusion restaurant, and texted her earlier to dress up for their date.

It was also why he held a bouquet of flowers in his hand that weren’t roses, because Emilia was too unique for something as simple as roses. The last time he had bought a woman flowers had been the boutonniere for Monica Banks and the senior prom.

As he punched in the security code on the new door lock, it struck him, and not for the first time, that he liked coming home to her. The two of them had slid rather seamlessly into domesticity. Which, given their history, was something he wouldn’t have thought possible.

Pushing his way inside, he came to a shuddering halt. The woman was a fucking knockout. He had half a mind to drag her into the bedroom and not let either of them up for air until neither of them could move.

She wore a skimpy, form-fitting, rust-colored dress that ended mid-thigh. It only seemed to enhance the color of her hair that was piled on her head in one of those mysterious, artful ways that women could do to make it look sexy and stylish all at the same time. High-heeled black boots ended just beneath her knees, giving him plenty of toned leg to admire at dinner.

But it was the smile that lit her face when she looked at him that took his breath away.
