Sigler Park was the home field for the Barber City Café team and Los Toreros. The Penhall family donated three acres of land for the construction of a diamond, which came to be known as Penhall Field. Around 1930, a local grocer went to court over an admission charge; eventually, it was declared illegal, and spectators were no longer charged the fee. This late-1940s photograph includes, from left to right, (first row) Ray Vega; (second row) Diego Gonzales, George Cepeda, Jimmy Romero, and Tony Rivera; (third row) Katie Vela, Sally Pérez, Lydia Gonzales, and Connie Gonzales.
