“I’m sorry, Whisper.”

“For what?” She asked grabbing her phone and purse from the officer signing her out.

“All of this.” I waved my arm around the precinct.

“You should only be sorry for cheating. Everything else isn’t your fault and I don’t want you thinking it is.”

“Yea but—”

“Destiny can’t control her mouth and my hands couldn’t control where they landed on her.” She shrugged.

“And besides, she needed her ass whooped for not taking accountability for what she’s done and how she started all of this in the first place.” I swung her body around.

“Thanks for sticking by me.”

“Had it not been for Dynasty, I probably wouldn’t have.” I respected her for being honest.

“She’s been asking about you.” I told Whisper stepping out the door.

“Well take me to see her.” With no other words to say, we walked to the car and drove to my mother’s house in silence.
