“Welcome to Dunn’s River Falls. How many in your party?”

Turning around, I took a quick headcount. Besides Oaklynn and me there was Jaden and his wife Aaliyah, and Eddie’s daughter Ella, who came with her husband and Janay.

“Seven.”

“Make that eight.”

“Eight?” I questioned Janay. She chucked her chin over my shoulder. I followed and found her boyfriend jogging up to us. I looked back at her. “You need to woman up, baby sis.”

Dre approached with his chin pointed toward his chest. “Hello everyone.”

Mostly everyone responded kindly, including myself. Jaden didn’t let him off easy. “Damn Dre. I didn’t know you were on the island. What a coincidence you showed up to the event my mom didn’t come to.”

Oaklynn perked up at the news. I’d been expecting Mom to bail when she told me she and Eddie wanted to spend the ninety-minute ride to Ocho Rios alone.

“Where’s your mom and Eddie?” Oaklynn looked over the rim of her sunglasses to ask.

“They ducked us. Said the falls are a young people’s excursion. The wedding party’s still here, so your obligation wasn’t relieved.” I answered the question before she could ask it.

“That will be twenty-nine thousand Jamaican or two hundred US.” The man announced from the window that we were crowded around. I pulled eleven dubs from my money clip to cover everyone’s entry and include a tip. “Unuh ‘ave a good time.”

We were given wristbands and went inside. I followed the sign to the lockers that were available to rent so that I could store my bag and aviators.

“Do you want to put that in here?”

Oaklynn placed a hand on the clear plastic fanny pack sitting on her waist. “I’m going to keep this. Thanks.”

“No problem.” My t-shirt was the last thing I put inside the locker before closing it. Left in my swimming trunks and water shoes, I was ready to go.

“On second thought, could you put this in there?” I heard from behind me.

I suddenly needed something to drink when I turned back.

“Damn.”

Her bikini was a banger, as was the physique it adorned. After seeing them complementing her amber skin, green, yellow, and black had become my favorite colors. Her bottoms were held up by strings tied high on her hips. They dangled over the light stretch marks hugging her curves. The shit was dangerous.

“I got you.” I took the top after recovering and offered a trade. “Can you hold this for me?”

“Sure.” Oaklynn accepted the key to the locker while I secured her coverup, and then we were on our way.

By the time we reached the fall, everybody was a sweaty mess. Thankfully, the temperature cooled comfortably when we reached the starting shore. Rushing water fell from above, crashing on rocks before ending at the beach. A large sign to the right stated Tornado Entrance, but no explanation was needed.

“Who’s going to start us off?” Eddie’s oldest, Ella, asked through cupped hands.

Jaden slapped my shoulder. “Lead the way, Buff the Body Builder.”

I swung a lazy jab he easily avoided before running to hide behind his wife.
