Nylah was on fire, the flames so hot she was sure she’d turn to ash right in front of him. The combination of his thrusts, the way he filled her so completely, and his mouth on hers was an overload of sensations. It made her lose her thoughts. Her worry. Everything. Everything but him.

She hugged her thighs tighter around his waist, lifting up on every thrust, wanting more of him. Wanting him as close and deep and connected to her as possible.

With desperate fingers, she dug her nails into the thick cords of muscle on his shoulders, as if she could somehow anchor herself to him. Because right now, in this moment, the man was shaking her foundation.

He reached down and cupped her breast, his thumb finding the hard peak of her nipple and grazing back and forth, then pinching. She whimpered, her head flinging back, eyes scrunching shut.

God, she was close. But she didn’t want this to end. Every time he briefly pulled out, another piece of her went with him. And she wanted him to have all of her.

She touched her head to his chest, trying to bring herself back to earth.

“I can’t…” She wasn’t sure what she was trying to say. Maybe that she couldn’t let this moment end? Maybe that she couldn’t understand the depth of this connection?

“I know, baby.”

Suddenly, he rolled them so she was on top. Instinctively, her body started to move. Fast, deep thrusts, each better than the last.

As she rocked, his hand clasped the back of her neck, guiding her mouth to his. But this kiss was different. Slower and in complete contrast to her movement. It was as if he was trying to memorize her mouth. Her taste.

In the midst of the kiss, the thrusts, his hand slipped between them, and he ran his thumb over her clit.

She whimpered, but the sound was swallowed by his mouth.

He did it again and again. “Liam…” She couldn’t finish her sentence.

“Fall for me, baby,” he whispered, as if he were in her head and could read her thoughts.

One more swipe of her clit, one more thrust, and she fell, shattering around him. Allowing herself to break into hundreds of tiny pieces, all belonging to him.

She was still rocking and crying out when he tensed beneath her. Then he growled, his body shuddering as he flipped them over again so she was on her back, and he thrust into her three more times, hard and fast, before his body stilled deep inside her on a long moan.

For the next few moments, there was mostly silence, the roar of blood in her ears the only thing she could hear. The beat of his heart under her palm all she could feel.

She let the silence weave its way into her chest, becoming a comfort. Then she cupped the back of his neck, holding his face so close to hers that she could feel the heat radiating off his skin.

“That was…” God, how did she even explain it? “Something else.
