“There your nigga go right there,” Brent, one of my homies, said as he tapped me on my chest for a second with the back of his hand to get my attention.

I turned to look in the direction that Brent had indicated and noticed that Montana had just pulled up. It was crazy because when he walked up, it really seemed like this nigga was a celebrity because niggas damn near broke their fuckin’ necks to shake it up with him and just be in that nigga’s presence. They were acting like some fuckin’ groupies.

We were smack dab in the middle of the hood, and Miami was putting on one of their car shows that they had each year. Brent was one of the niggas who told me how Hollywood Montana started acting, so I was shocked to see him pull up. I thought this shit might be a little too hood for him.

Seeing Montana and being in that atmosphere just flooded my mind with a ton of memories because when we were younger, we made it our business to come out to these car shows. My young ass lost my virginity in a porta potty out there to a bitch who was at least five years older than me. So much shit used to take place back in the day at those car shows. Several gangs ran through Miami, and niggas would bring that beefing shit to the car shows. Just about every year, that shit would get shot up. Bitches would be out there fighting each other for fuckin’ each other’s man. All kinds of ghetto bullshit used to go down.

Going to the car show was one of the many things I missed when I was locked up. Life used to be so simple when my only problem was what fit I would throw on to pull up at the car show. If you’re from Miami, then you know those events weren’t shit but a big ass fashion show. This year, it seemed like the theme was diamonds because every nigga out there looked like they put on every piece of fuckin’ jewelry they owned, trying to make a statement that they had more jewelry than the next man.

“Shit, I’m surprised he pulled up,” I said to Brent.

“Nah, the nigga may be funny acting as hell, but he always pulls up each year to the car shows,” Brent let me know.

“I wonder if he brought his wife with him,” I said.

“I doubt it. You know the kind of shit niggas be on out here. He don’t ever come out here with Alecia. He always pulls up by himself,” Brent shared.

I took my eyes off Brent for a second and focused back on Montana. He came out tonight, repping his pops, Marco. Marco used to be heavy into cars, having all of the nicest custom whips. He used to compete in the car shows, and no one would ever outshine what he had going on.
