Zeke
I was in a better space with the help of Treasure. I tripped out and turned on the people who showed me love. When I say I ainât been fucking with nobody, I meant nobody. Iâd been off the radar, and I hadnât been in contact with my ma, Pops, and Benz, in over a week. At the time, I just wasnât in the right space to fuck with them. I listened to Treasure, and started going to these anger management classes, and it was helping me out. I would still get on a niggaâs ass, only now, I would think before I did the shit. I stopped drinking and left the weed alone too. I learned having a clean mind starts with the body and was on some new shit. A nigga like me wasnât made to hang on the block. I ran the block, but that was coming to an end too.
I was leaving out the courthouse from getting my licenses and permits for my club. In two days, I would be sitting down with a marketing team. I wanted my club to be more than just a place people could come to watch women shake their ass. I saw my clubs being not just in Houston, but Miami and Vegas, too. I was learning shit about the business every day, and with the knowledge and a good team behind me, I was going to take over the adult entertainment world. I looked down at my phone, and my mamaâs number appeared on the screen for the fifth time in a minute times.
âHello,â I answered.
âNigga, donât âhelloâ me. Where the fuck you been, Zeke? Me and your attorney have been calling yo ass nonstop, and come to find out, you got your damn number changed. Get your dumb ass down to the courthouse, now!â she shouted, and hung up on me.
Good thing I was already downtown, so it didnât take me long to make it to the courthouse. I wasnât dressed appropriately to stand before a judge, but my attorney hadnât reached out to me, so I didnât know what the fuck was going on, but then I remembered, I changed my number. I walked up the courthouse steps and my attorney, with the rest of my family, were talking in a group. This made me even more tense because they all looked worried.
âWhatâs up? The fuck going on?â I walked up on them.
âIf you wouldnât have changed ya number, you would have known what was going on. CPS showed up to Honestyâs house last night, and removed Junior. Thereâs an emergency hearing, to see if any of his family will take him, or he will go to foster care if we donât get our asses up there.â
I felt like my heart was about to pop out my chest. âYo, Johnathan, please tell me my son ainât going to a foster home. Iâm his daddy, why canât they just give him to me?â
âCalm down, and letâs make our way to the courtroom.
