If someone had told me a week ago that I’d be masturbating in front of Zane Wolfe, I wouldn’t have believed them. But I did, and I liked it.

No, I loved it. I felt sexy and sensual. I felt like a woman. I loved the way Zane was looking at me, how he was touching me, and how completely and totally spent I felt.

He got me a towel from a bathroom down the hall, and I wrapped it around my waist.

“Shower?”

“Upstairs. I’ll show you.” I grabbed my bag, gathered my clothes, and followed him. The house was much bigger than it looked from the outside, and we walked from one end all the way to the other until we got to a set of stairs. We passed through beautifully decorated living rooms and passed at least two bathrooms.

The stairs creaked as Zane put his weight on them and I chuckled.

“How big is this place? I thought it was just a regular row house.”

“I bought three of them.”

I watched his ass as we went up the stairs, grinning. “Right. As you do. I also bought three houses. It’s casual. I get it.”

He glanced over his shoulder, and a smirk tugged at his lips. “I don’t like neighbors.”

“What if you need to borrow a cup of sugar? You’d have to go all the way to the store.”

“That’s a risk I’m willing to take.” He waited for me at the top step, his eyes gleaming.

He turned down the hallway and led me to what I assumed was a guest bedroom. I doubted anyone had slept here in a long time, judging by the musty smell in the room. He pressed a button to turn the air conditioning on and cracked the window, leaving the blinds closed.

“The ensuite is through there. I just opened that to air the place out a bit, but you can close it when you finish your shower. There should be shampoo and everything in there, but if you need anything just let me know.”

I smiled, holding the towel around my waist. Taking a step towards him, I laid a gentle kiss on his lips.

“Thank you.”

He nodded and disappeared out the door. I dropped the towel and turned on the shower. As soon as I stepped under the stream of hot water, I sighed in contentment.

I took my time. I washed the fear, and the sweat, and the sex off my body. I washed my worries and the last of the dirty feeling that Thomas had left on my skin. I stood under the stream of water until I felt like a new person.

Then, I dried myself and slipped on a tee-shirt and pajama shorts that I’d packed with Mags. Stepping from the ensuite to the guest bedroom, I shivered and turned the air conditioner off. I closed the window as well—I still had a knot of fear at the base of my stomach, and having an open window in my bedroom didn’t sit well with me.

I stared at the bed, but instead of climbing in, I poked my head into the hallway.
