After Shyne talked to Keyz, he was now ready to curse Sky’s ass out for pulling that stunt she pulled the day before. A few months ago, several large financial companies started reporting unusual activity that not only compromised their system, but was coming from an unknown source. He was ready to take on this new mystery enemy, but Sky fucked his head up, and he knew the only way to recover was to just focus on work. Or at least try to.

While money in all U.S. banks was FDIC insured, they couldn’t keep up with all of the hits they were taking. And this wasn’t the usual organized financial crime scheme. No, this was hacking at its finest, and the CIA was brought in before it got leaked to the news on a global level.

Once they started probing, they hit a dead end until last month when Shyne picked up some activity coming out of Mexico. A little more digging led him to the Ricon Regime, a quiet yet powerful organization that seemed to have an insider well connected to the U.S. Shyne knew it was only a matter of time before they had to go underground, and he wasn’t sure how focused he would be if he didn’t fix his situation with Sky. Little did he know, two old enemies were involved, especially a so called ‘dead’ one.

“Good morning, Agent Duhart.” Intern Agent Princess Jackson beamed at the sight of him with a cup of coffee in her hand waiting for him.

“Good morning, Agent Jackson. Thanks,” he replied, walking into his office with her on his heels.

Unlike most of the agents who despised him, she eagerly awaited his presence. She was a kid who clearly had a thing for him, but he wasn’t interested. In fact, he was upset that the intern they replaced Mulan with was another female. It’s like the more he tried to get away from pussy, the more it chased him. If he didn’t know any better, he would have sworn Sky was sending them his way.

“You’re so welcome, sir. Let me know when you’re ready to start. I’ll be waiting.” She giggled before she sashayed to her seat outside his office.

She wasn’t unattractive, but her bushy, unkempt eyebrows and thick, unruly hair screamed makeover, but even that still wasn’t enough to make her unfuckable if Sky saw her. He was damned if he did and damned if he didn’t.

Before he could get settled in and log onto his computer, Agent Jackson was back rushing into his office.

“Yes, Agent Jackson,” he sighed, loosening his tie.

“Sir, I think I got something I need to show you. It may be nothing but … but, it just might be something.”

Usually she was the happy-go-lucky type who always looked for a reason to be in his face, but this time, she looked quite disturbed as her furrowed brows almost touched.

“Very well,” he muttered, getting up and leaving his cell phone on his desk.

As soon as she showed him what she discovered or believed she discovered, he knew they needed to move on this and fast.
