“Yo Menken, is that you?” Dezzy gripped his piece that was sitting on the table in front of him after he called out.

“Yeah, where the fuck you at?” Menken yelled from the front of the house. Dezzy was in the master bedroom sitting at the table, getting his product ready to distribute to his corner boys.

“I’m back here,” Dezzy said, just as Menken appeared in the doorway with a blunt in his hand followed by a cloud of smoke. Menken leaned into the doorframe, eyeing the product that Dezzy had laid out on the table in front of him.

“What we looking like? Shit moving?”

“Hell yeah. I was about to call your ass so that you could hit Cane for a re-up.”

“Aight bet, I’ll get with him in a minute. So did you fix that shit with him yet?” Menken asked in reference to the Chelsey situation. He held his hand up not looking at Dezzy because he was admiring the blunt he was smoking, thinking about how quickly his high hit. They had some good shit, which is why it sold so well.

“Yeah, we’re good. He didn’t like that shit but he was a man about it, so I respect that.”

Menken eyed Dezzy knowing that if Cane wasn’t feeling the situation, it was more about feeling disrespected versus having feelings about Chelsey, because Menken knew for a fact that Cane was too into Avery to give one fuck about who Chelsey was banging.

“He do that shit?” Menken asked with a smirk, noticing that somebody rocked Dezzy’s ass pretty good.

Dezzy just laughed. He was over it now and understood why Cane felt the need to check him. “Hell yeah. He snuck my ass and as much as I wanted to knock his ass out, I knew better so I just took that shit like a man. It’s all good though, but there won’t be too many more of those on any other type shit,” Dezzy said truthfully.

He didn’t own not one once of bitch in his blood but because of the situation and out of respect for Cane being his boss, he let that go. He knew something was gonna go down.

“Long as you worked that shit out. I don’t need you two having beef and shit. We’re doing the damn thing around here and I need you running my team,” Menken said.

“Nah, we’re good.”

“Not that it’s any of my business, but Chelsey? Yo, I don’t know her like y’all do but I’ve heard some shit. You sure it’s worth it?” Menken asked.

Dezzy wasn’t really in the mood to discuss his situation with Chelsey, especially since he didn’t even know if it was going to work out, considering the fact that he wasn’t convinced that she could let go of her obsession with the life she couldn’t have with Cane.

“Everybody fucks up and makes bad decisions. She’s not perfect but shit, neither am I. We’re good together and I don’t know what her deal was with Cane because that’s none of my business.
