Mount Hood peeks out on the trail to Umbrella Falls

Back at the main trail, hike 0.4 mile to a road crossing with another great view of Mount Hood. Pick up the trail on the other side of the road and hike the last 0.1 mile through a potentially swampy bit before ending back at the parking area.

Miles and Directions

0.0 From the trailhead, hike 0.4 mile to a junction.

0.4 Arrive at a junction with the Umbrella Falls Trail and make a left.

1.9 Arrive at a junction. Make a right toward Umbrella Falls.

2.2 Arrive at Umbrella Falls. Hike back to the junction and make a right toward Sahale Falls.

3.6 Arrive at a junction with the boot path on the right that leads to a viewpoint of the top of Sahale Falls. Continue down the main trail.

4.1 Arrive at a road crossing. Pick up the trail on the other side. Continue hiking to the parking area.

4.2 Arrive back at the parking area.
