Chapter 7

Tripp grinned as he backed Jude up until he trapped the man between him and the wall. “What I do know is that you are not leaving this room until I claim you, so you’d better explain to me how it’s done.”

Jude’s eyes rounded. “Oh no, you can’t. What if—”

“I can,” Tripp said as he pressed his finger over Jude’s lips. “And I am. Just tell me what I need to know.”

“But, Tripp, if you claim me and something happens to me—”

“I am claiming you, Jude.” Tripp was thrilled that Jude seemed so protective that he would give up something he wanted so damn much. It was another reason that he knew he was making the right decision. He just had to get Jude to agree to it, and he had a pretty damn good idea how to do that, even if it was a little underhanded.

Tripp grabbed a handful of Jude’s dark hair and tilted his head back. His lips hovered over Jude’s as he stared down into the man’s bright eyes. “I told you that I was claiming you, Jude, and I meant it. You belong to me now.”

A needy whimper filled the air as Tripp lowered his mouth over Jude’s, claiming his lips as surely as he planned to claim the rest of the man. The kiss was perfect—hot and delicious—while physically conveying everything Tripp couldn’t say out loud.

Tripp didn’t like the fact that he would be claiming Jude on the cold floor of some sitting room, but he refused to walk out the door until Jude belonged to him. He was going to do everything he possibly could think of to tie the man to him.

Tripp slowly lowered Jude to the floor, thankful that there was at least some soft carpet to lay the man on. He leaned forward, inhaling Jude’s heady scent from collarbone to ear, taking in the raw aroma of man. The scent rushed back into Tripp in a wave of intoxication. Smelling Jude was hardening his cock at an alarming rate.

Tasting him was even better. Tripp was addicted to Jude’s sweet flavor. It was a flavor that made him instantly hard every damn time, and made him wonder if that was part of the whole mating thing.

“You taste delicious, Jude,” Tripp murmured as he gazed at his mate, his hungry eyes stroking over him like a lover’s caress. Jude grinned as Tripp leaned forward to nip the man on his smooth jaw. “Simply delicious.”

“I’m yours, only yours,” Jude replied. There was no argument in the words, only a raw need that slid over Tripp like water running over his naked flesh. He shuddered and then nipped Jude on his bottom lip.

“I know.”

Jude tugged at Tripp’s cheek until their lips were only an inch apart, and then Tripp moaned as Jude captured Tripp’s lips. Tripp’s body tightened involuntarily, every bone and muscle in him reaching for the man’s mouth, the hot draw of his lips, and the moist wash of his tongue.

Tripp opened his eyes, seeing Jude’s flushed skin, the raw lust that transformed his beautiful face.
