27. Using the Chrome App Launcher
This feature is auto installed on the Google Chromebit when a user first adds an application to the device. To utilize the Launcher, go to the Chrome Web Store and locate ‘Chrome Apps’ to the left of the Home page. To install the desired app, find the app and select from the options ‘Free’ or ‘Buy’. The user should then locate the App Launcher in the taskbar and tap to launch the application.

There are times when the Chrome App Launcher cannot be found from the Taskbar. Where this is the case, users can locate the Launcher by alternate mediums. From a Windows-based device, locate the Start Menu to the lower left of the screen and click it to open. The user should then locate ‘All programs’ and from the options it provides, choose ‘Google Chrome’. The user should peruse the options thereafter and right-click on the ‘App Launcher’ icon and click the option to ‘Pin to Taskbar’.

There are times when the Chrome App Launcher cannot be found from the Taskbar. Where this is the case, users can locate the Launcher by alternate mediums. For users with a Linux-powered device, locate the search bar for the computer and enter ‘Chrome App Launcher’. When the Launcher is located, tap on it and select the option to pin it to the systems launcher or panel.

Users of the Google Chromebit are able to download and install features known as Extensions to their Chrome. The Extensions, when added, provide users with increased features and functions. The extensions can be used to personalize your Chromebit; removing things of no interest to the user, but rather, populating the browser based on personal preferences.
33. Installing Extensions to Chromebit
To accurately install the desired extensions, the user must first enter the Chrome Web Store, then locate and tap on the desired extension. The user should then select the option to ‘Add to Chrome’. From here, the user should see a dialogue box on screen displaying the information to which the extension of choice will require access to. To proceed with the install and grant the requested access, tap on the ‘Add’ option.
