Hunter left soon after Red went to bed, which allowed Jack to take her the tea laced with sleeping pills. He let me know he wanted to handle that himself since I get tongue-tied around her. He was worried I’d fuck this up.

When I came to, I was in the garden, watching as the last few people left the party. The only one still lingering, other than Chesca who is cleaning up, is Garth.

I watch as that fucking cop creeps up to her living room window, before peeking inside. He’s the reason I have to do this. He’s the reason Jack is demanding this be done tonight. Whenever Jack takes over, I never remember what he saw, but he can remember everything I see and do. He watches, waits. Red pushed him tonight at the party. Brownies. His weakness. The lapse in memory tells me he couldn’t resist her allure. If Garth hadn’t shown up when he did, then we still probably would have gone through with this tonight.

He put together this plan for Red, to take her, keep her tucked away safely in our home, while we find a way to get Garth to go away. He’s a cop, and I really don’t want to have to kill him. It might cause people to ask questions I don’t want to answer. I really hope Jack feels the same.

I feel Jack pushing against me now, fighting me for control, and just as I’m about to push him back, the world goes dark.
