“Is she awake?” a female asked as I winced in pain. The pain in my back caused me to let a slight scream escape my lips.

“Yes, she is.” I was lying on my side, trying to place where I was. It was a hospital. The room looked like a bedroom. The curtains were slightly open, showing it was daylight outside. My memory was coming back in bits and pieces. The last thing I remembered was the gunshots going off.

“Where am I? Where is my daughter?” My throat felt like I was swallowing needles. The woman who must have been speaking came into my view. When I locked my eyes on her, I jumped upon recognizing her. “What the fuck? Get away from me! Where’s my daughter?” I went into a panic, shifting around the bed.

“Calm down.” She tried to grab my flying arms but it was no use. “A little help here!” she yelled out.

“Bitch, you’re from my dream! Don’t fucking touch me, I swear!”

“Sanje. It’s okay, Bella.” I sucked in the air around me, choking myself.

“I told you Mommy, Daddy is not gone.” Angelo was standing in my face, holding Santi’s hand as if he wasn’t pronounced dead.

“Oh my God, I died. This isn’t real. I’m sorry, Santi.”
