The average single-entry 50/50 score in small-stakes games of $1 to $5 is 101.2. That jumps one point to 102.2 in $10-$50 games, and nearly another full point to 103.1 in games with a buy-in amount of at least $109.

This shouldn’t be particularly surprising, but it’s certainly evidence that small changes in overall numbers or percentages can mean a lot when you’re talking about a sample size of leagues as large as what we’re dealing with. We know that high-stakes games will naturally have superior players, so the fact that the difference between those guys and the small-stakes players is just a couple points suggests that other seemingly minor deviations that we’ve seen—such as the 0.5 percentage point difference in salary cap allocation for pitchers in cashing versus non-cashing lineups—are meaningful.

And in case you’re curious, there is a difference in scoring in single-entry versus multi-entry 50/50s, but perhaps not in the direction you’d assume; in low-stakes games, the average multi-entry 50/50 score is only 99.8—1.4 points behind single-entry 50/50 games at the same stakes. It could be the case that the casual player is drawn to multi-entry 50/50s more so than single-entry leagues, bringing down the average score needed to cash.
