While Damien was driving to Raemond’s house, he decided to call Tracy.

“Hello!”

“Hi, Tracy! How are you doing?”

“I am fine, and you?”

“I’m koo, I guess, just kinda tripping.”

“Why, what’s up?”

“I just found out who you seen my ex in the mall with.”

“Are you serious?”

“Yeah, she was fucking one of my best friends.”

“Today something told me to follow her, and I did. That’s when I seen them together. What’s crazy is not only is he my best friend he was in a relationship with one of her best friends for years.”

“Did you and the dude fight when you found out?”

“Hell, yeah! I beat that nigga’s ass.”

“So you mean to tell me you haven’t told her yet?”

“Damien, do you want to go and have a drink at the spot that we went to last night?”

“We can do that. How long will it take you to get there?” Damien asked.

Earlier, after Damien left out of the motel room, the police came and knocked on the door.

“What is going on in here?”

“Some man came and knocked on the door and she opened it and he pushed her out of the way and attacked me.”

“Do you know who this man was?”

Craig looked over at Laseana. “No sir, I do not know who he was.”

“Ma’am, do you happen to know who he was?”

“No I never saw that man before in my life.”

“Which way did the man go? Would you be able to give a description of him?”

“It all happened, so fast I didn’t get a good look at his face,” Laseana said.

“If you think of anything else, here goes my card. Give me a call.”

“Thank you, officer!”

“Laseana, you are lucky that I didn’t want to be dirty and have his ass go to jail.”

“Why would you want to do that?”

“Just to be an asshole.”

“Man, I don’t know what I am going to do!”

“Do about what?”

“I know he is really going to leave me now and he is probably going to kick me out of the apartment.”

“I thought me and you were going to be together?”

“I did want to be with you, but I had thought about everything.”

“Everything like what, Laseana?”

“I mean you were with her for so long and you were cheating on her, so I know you would do it to me.”

“So why did you come and meet me today?”

“I came to tell you that me and him were going to stay together and work things out.”

“Is that right?”

“I knew he loved me and I know that you just like fucking me.”

“You don’t think that I care about you?”

“I know you don’t and that is okay with me but now I have lost the one person that did care about me.”
