Chapter 13

It had been a couple of weeks and Anissa was feeling much better. She sat up in the bed all day, reading different urban fiction books from various authors. Today, she was reading Tiece Mickens book, Thug Luvin’ is the Best Luvin’. She had read this series before, but she just loved her books. She was one of her favorite authors.

Kayden waited on her hand and foot. He even gave her a foot massage while she read her books sometimes. She loved when he showed her a lot of affection. Kayden fed her salad for dinner; he wanted her to eat healthy sometimes.

“Do you need anything, baby? I’m about to head out for a while.” Kayden said.

“No, I should be good. I’m full and I’m going to watch Barbershop 3.”

“Alright good. O’Neal is on his way to scoop me up. We got some business to tend to at the club tonight.”

“Why do you have to be there tonight?”

She knew he was sexually frustrated, but hell, so was she. It had been over a month since she gave him some, so she knew he was ready. She had been giving him head as much as her neck would allow. Every time he left the house, she felt like he was going to cheat on her. She thought about all the damn thot bitches that would be gracing the club with all their asses and breasts hanging out. She really didn’t want Kayden there at all, especially since she couldn’t take care of her wifely duties.

“Look Anissa, I got to handle my business. I got to take care of my family. I’m not trying to stress you out, but I need for you to understand and chill. Call one of your sisters or your mom, have one of them come over and sit with you for a while.”

“I don’t want my sisters or my mom. I want you to stay at home with me and watch movies and cuddle,” she whined.

“I can’t just stay up under you all day and night, babe. Even though I would love to, I have a business to run. O’Neal can’t handle everything on his own.”

“Whatever Kayden. I just think its bullshit that you think it’s alright to leave your wife at a time like this. I thought this was something that we wanted, not just me.”

“Baby, you know damn well I want this baby. I mean, I have to work, so we can feed the baby. What am I supposed to do… sit around and not worry about how we’re going to take care of it?

“Kayden, I just really don’t want to be left alone. What if something happens and I need you?” Tears were rolling down her cheeks as she talked to him.

“Damn baby, I’m sorry. Don’t cry ma.” He went to her and hugged her tight. “Baby, I need to work. I’m the man of this house. I’m going to call your mother and have her come stay the night with you, okay?”

“Kayden, if you need to go, I guess that’s fine.
