Loco

On Tuesday morning, Loco awoke after only an hour of sleep. He still hasn't heard anything from Chandra and the fact that it bothered him was what was so surprising. Here he was, pinning for a woman that he hadn't known a month.

He needed to talk to someone and he knew exactly who to talk to, his aunt Carla.

He sat up on the edge of the bed, grabbed his phone off the nightstand and shot his brother a text.

Aye bruh, I'm gon’ go check on auntie. You riding?

He put his phone on the bed and walked to the restroom to take a quick shower. As the hot water touched his skin, he closed his eyes and bent his head. He was so confused at the feelings that he was having.

Once he got out and got dressed, he checked his phone, and just as he suspected, Solo replied back with a hard no.

Solo hated living with their aunt because he felt that she and her home was beneath him. After they received their inheritance, they offered to help her relocate and when she declined, Solo swore that he'd never offer her help again. Visiting was also off the table, Loco surmised.

As he walked to his car, he texted Chandra once more.

Please call me. We need to talk.

He got in his car and started it up as he did, his phone rang.

"What's good bruh?"

"How long you gon’ be visiting your aunt? We got work to do, you know." Solo complained.

Loco shook his head, "I'm getting real tired of you telling me what I got to do. I'll handle the bullshit my own way bruh. Now chill out on all this telling me what I need to do."

"Man, alright bruh. Handle it your way. Enjoy your visit." Solo grumbled before hanging up.

Loco pulled off and drove to Marietta.

When he arrived at his aunt's house, he pulled into the driveway and backed up in the yard under the elm tree that he used to climb when he was a kid.

He sat in the car and took in the neighborhood. Nothing had changed within the six months since he'd visited.

His cousin, in whom he thought of as a sister, was there and he smiled as he watched his nephew running and doing flips in the front yard. His hair was dreaded up, and his red, blue and white striped shirt was torn and dirty. He wished that Beverly would allow him to spend some one-on-one time with him so they could do some male bonding, but she wouldn't allow him to visit due to Loco's lifestyle.

"Just another reason for me to get out. " He mumbled.

Loco got out the car and waved to his aunt's neighbors who was posted up under the tree. It was a regular hangout for the neighborhood goons.

"Ahh, shit! Boss man in the hood! Aye, holla at me before you leave bruh!"

"I gotcha!" Loco replied as he headed into the house. As soon as he hit the threshold, he was greeted with chaos.
