As the previous image shows, we are going to configure the Network Security Toolkit on the VMnet6 switch; this is to monitor the segment that we set up with the pfSense configuration earlier.

Once you boot the Network Security Toolkit, you will want to log in with the username and password you created, or if it is a live image boot, then your password is nst2003.

Once you have logged in, you will be at the main desktop; right-click on the desktop and select Open in a terminal. Enter su - to switch to root, enter ifconfig, and note the strange name that Fedora has assigned to your interface. We will need this when we configure the Snort sensor.
