Access granted. Twisting the doorknob and waiting, as I pulled the card-key from the slot. There was an indescribable stench that almost knocked me to my knees. I know I told Jorge not to leave the room but I didn’t tell him not to shower, either. Whispering the same prayer, the eerie feeling I couldn’t shake slowly turned into guilt. I should’ve just listened to Ebony and left well-enough alone. I should’ve told Troy the truth about the shooting. I should’ve never come here and I should’ve just bought coats and everything else when we touched down in Chicago. I should’ve—
