Looking in the mirror, I made sure that my makeup was still on point, smoothed down the material on my dress and then turned around to check out my ass. Yep, still there and still fat. I checked my nose to make sure there was no evidence of my magic powder, the little bit of nose candy I needed to provide just the right pick-me-up to accompany my game face. I was meeting up with Sasha’s brother, Zeke, for the first time, so that he could tell me what I could do to help him so he could help me. When I tell you that I was more than ready for him to give me the details so that I could get to work, that was an understatement.

My money was steadily getting low and I was ignoring my daddy’s calls so it wasn’t like I could ask him for shit. If I hit rock bottom, I knew I could ask Janelle but I didn’t really want to do that either. Especially with how she’d been dragging around the apartment the past few days. For someone who swore she wasn’t missing Outlaw, she was doing a terrible job proving it.

The address Zeke had given me led to the biggest house in a residential area that I’d never been to. It still had the swag of the city but there was just enough green around to make it look cozy and at home, with small but expertly manicured lawns and beautiful landscaping. Once I knocked on the door, I was greeted by Zeke’s assistant who showed me to a room where I could wait. There was food and drink in there, including alcohol, but I was too nervous to indulge.

Walking out of the bathroom, I was heading back to the room that I’d been escorted into when I saw a handsome man standing near the food, grabbing a donut from the table. I recognized him instantly as Zeke because he was the spitting image of his sister. Sasha had beautiful brown skin that had a reddish hue to it, stemming from her Native American ancestry. Zeke had the same complexion, paired with wavy hair, dark eyes and thick brooding eyebrows. He had a chiseled jawline and a muscular build to his body that I knew took work to maintain.

“So I finally get to meet the sexiest woman alive, huh?” Zeke said with a smile while chewing on a bite of his donut. “I’ve only been trying to get Sasha to link me up with you for about a million years now.”

Laughing, I reached my hand out towards him and he shook it, keeping his eyes on mine.

“I know, I told her that had she already let me know you wanted to work with me, I would have made the connection a while ago.”

“Word?” he asked, his brows shooting in the air. I nodded my head, smiling at his boyish but cute expression.

“Did she tell you anything about what I do?” he asked as he turned around to walk away.
