Grape Salad

Thank you to Susan Brown and Wanda Knight for sharing this recipe. This is a really tasty alternative as a side dish with sandwiches in place of chips or a garden salad.

¼ cup sour cream

4 ounces cream cheese, softened

¼ cup granulated sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

1 pound seedless red grapes

1 pound seedless green grapes

½ cup brown sugar

½ cup chopped pecans

In a medium bowl, combine the sour cream, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla. Mix with a whisk until smooth. Add the grapes and gently mix. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top and finish with the chopped pecans.

Note: My family found this salad to be sweet enough without the addition of the brown sugar on top. You might try adjusting the sugar amounts to fit your personal tastes.
