“Oh my god, Cross, this is so beautiful!”

Heaven and I had just stepped off the helicopter that transported us from our hotel to our dinner. There was a red carpet with rose petals leading to our dinner set up. It was a beautiful night in Dubai. With a brisk breeze that blew, it wasn’t too hot. Heaven squeezed my hand tight as we walked closer to our dinner set up. I could tell her body language was changing by the way she tensed up.

“Good evening, welcome to Dinner in the Sky.” Let’s get you all strapped in and ready for dinner.”

I held in my laugh as Heaven stopped in her tracks when she realized we were about to have dinner in the sky.

“Wait a minute! We’re about to have dinner in the sky for real?” She let me hand go, so I stepped in her space. Grabbing both of her hands in mine, I kissed her on the lips to calm her down.

“Yes. We’re about to have dinner in the sky as we look over Dubai. You have nothing to worry about. Do you trust me?”

“Yes, Cross, I trust you, but that doesn’t mean I’m not scared.” I kissed her again but made sure to slip my tongue in her mouth.

“Never fear my love, Cross St. Croix is here.”

She relaxed and allowed the guy and female workers to strap us in, and then we were seated. I had made some calls to make the dinner private. As the crane started to lift us into the air, Heaven grabbed my arm. I couldn’t help but laugh.

“This is not funny, Cross. You could have given me a damn romantic dinner on the sand.”

“Why have dinner on the sand when you can have it amongst the stars? “

“I’m not going to lie this is romantic, and I wasn’t expecting something like this at all. This view is amazing. Thank you for doing all of this. I really appreciate it.”

“You’re welcome, love. Thanks for taking a leap of faith and trusting a nigga. ” It felt good seeing Heaven loosen up and enjoy our dinner. Just seeing her be free and eat without a care in the world made me feel accomplished.

For the first time since we made it to Dubai, she enjoyed herself without a hint of sadness in her eyes. From the moment I had met her, she always came off as being sad but smiling through the pain. Tonight was not forced, and I prayed she stayed this way.

After a long dinner and two bottles of wine, I needed to get Heaven back to the hotel. She was lit. When we made it back to the hotel, I had to carry her up to our suite. She was out like a light the moment that I laid her across the bed. I knew she was out of there, so I just removed her shoes and placed her under the covers. I retreated to the bedroom I was in and flamed up a fat ass blunt before laying it down.
