Chapter 16
Kavi
âYouâve been very occupied with your phone today. Is everything okay? Men problems?â I questioned Harmony.
With a scrunched-up face, she placed her phone down. âDefinitely not having those. Iâd have to have a man for that to be possible. Even if I did have a man, I still wouldnât have those problems.â
âAnd how are you so sure of that?â I asked curiously.
âBecause I wouldnât be dealing with an insecure ass nigga. Hell, Iâm fine and niggas checking me out comes with that, so he would have to get with it or get lost,â she answered as if that statement was acceptable to every man.
This girl. What nigga in his right mind would allow other niggas to disrespect him by flirting with his girl? And what respectable woman would want to use her beauty as an excuse to think that itâs okay?
âIf you must know, though, my best friend is going through a rough patch right now, and Iâve been trying to reach out to her the last few days. When she gets like this, she tends to block herself from the world. Iâm just worried about her, thatâs all. Now, we have ten minutes left, so what else do you have planned for me today?â Harmony quizzed as she bent over to do a few stretches.
I was admiring the view. âActually, just keep doing what youâre doing. Iâll let you know when you can stop.â
Harmony had on a black sports bra with some matching âTikTokâ leggings. She had ass already, but those muthafuckas had her shit sitting upright.
Harmony was an irresistibly attractive woman, but once she opened her mouth to speak her, the thought of me ever taking her seriously quickly faded. She was one of those females that felt like men were supposed to bow at her feet. Not to be mistaken, I was all about catering to my woman if I had one, but Harmony seemed like the type that always wanted to take yet never give, and that shit wasnât gonâ fly with me. I wasnât the kind of nigga that looked for anything in return for what I did for my lady, but Harmony mentioned that she wanted to be a stay-at-home wife⸺ typical.
Me personally, I had no problem with women who chose to go that route. However, if that woman was my wife and I was out providing a future for our family while she sat at home, then hell yeah, I expected our house to be spotless daily. Our kidsâ homework should be completed once I made it home, a nigga should have a homecooked meal waiting on him, and if she wanted to be extra generous, she could throw in a rolled blunt and have a nice bath waiting on me. Also, on birthdays, Iâd expect my woman to go out for me as I did for her. I didnât require as much as other men. Just stay loyal, take care of her girlfriend⸺ wifely, motherly duties, and keep me satisfied in the bedroom.
