Chapter 9

Jurnee

If I knew what making love was, I would’ve said that was what I did with Kofi last night. That nigga had put it down like no other thug had ever done. If I had known a square could slang the dick like that, I would’ve been tried one out. Not only did he eat pussy like it was his favorite meal, but the way he controlled my body had me questioning my life. Now I was aware of the fact that I hadn’t had good dick before last night.

Shit, I was up cooking breakfast and singing along to old R&B that my mama used to play. I guess I had put it on Kofi too because he was still snoring lightly when I got up. I had brushed my teeth and attempted to look as best I could without any makeup on. He had told me I didn’t need it, so I took his word for it. Damn, this nigga had me feeling good.

“Good morning, star.” His deep voice made my pussy wet as hell all over again.

“Good morning, baby.”

He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek. “It smells good in here.”

“I made omelets with cheese, onions, peppers, and crispy potatoes, since you only eat fish.”

“Sounds good, gorgeous.”

“Oh, I brewed some fresh coffee.”

When he walked over to pour his own mug, I took over. “Let me serve you.”

Taking the mug out of his hand, I filled it up. “Do you like cream and sugar?”

“No cream, and two teaspoons of sugar.”

I made the coffee to his liking. “Why don’t you take a seat at the table. The food’s almost done.”

“I was serious about what I said. It wasn’t just some in the moment shit. I’m really staking my claim.”

“And I’m staking mine too.” I made our plates and then poured us both a glass of orange juice.

After I put his plate in front of him, I sat down next to him.

“Okay, so there’re no question about where we stand then.”

“Not one.”

We dug in, talking and laughing as we ate. It felt like I had known this man way longer than I had. There was just so much comfortability between us. Where had he been all my life? I mean, I was young, but if my first love was anything like him, I would have had a different outlook on that emotion.

“That was delicious, baby.” Rubbing his flat abs, he leaned over to give me a kiss before picking up the dishes.

“I got it,” I protested.

“No. I can clean the dishes. Relax and finish your coffee.”

This man had my head swimming. If I didn’t believe that those types of feelings could happen so fast, I would’ve sworn that I was officially in love.

The next couple of months flew by. I had hired another esthetician and someone to permanently run the front desk. Kofi and I were growing closer and closer and were falling deeply in love. Well, if I could say so myself, both of us were already there.
