“Please, lord, help me,” I said a silent prayer to myself during all the chaos. I knew that it was crazy to try and pray to the lord after trying to commit a huge sin, but it was worth a try.

I wanted Menace dead, so I helped Feddy to set him up, and now here I was running for my life from Nya’s house. I should’ve known that they were smart enough to act as if they were leaving her house and then double back.

I was out of breath as I stepped on twig after twig, ducking and dodging huge tree branches as I ran as fast as I could away from Menace and Mano. I didn’t even know where I was running to, I just knew that I needed to get the hell away from them. Based upon what Nya said, I was about to be sporting a toe tag.

I had been running for a good while and noticed that there was no commotion coming from behind me. I looked over my shoulder, which was a hard task to do while running, but I managed to do so only to find out that they were no longer chasing me.

With a tear-stained face and a runny, snotty nose, I looked to the left and right of me quickly trying to see if I could spot them. I released a sigh of relief as I bent over, placing my hands on my knees so that I could rest and catch my breath. I was sweating profusely, and my mouth was drier than the Sahara Desert. I was literally shaking like a tree, and my mind was all over the place. I didn’t grab my purse when I took off running, so I didn’t have my phone or any money on me. I was scared shitless and not sure where to go or what to do from here.

Standing up straight, my soul practically left my body when I heard a gun being cocked behind my head. I closed my eyes as I slowly raised my hands in the air, letting them know that I was surrendering. I didn’t know what was coming next for me, but I sure knew that I wouldn’t be breathing for much longer.

“Turn your bitch ass around!” Menace yelled, but I was so afraid that my feet wouldn’t move. Before I knew it, he pistol whipped me, and I hit the ground hard. My body got all scratched up by a few of the twigs and rocks on the ground. I moaned and groaned in pain before I completely blacked out.
