I peeped the time and figured Nyasia hadn't left for work yet. I hit her up and asked her to stop by so I could talk to her. Besides Nyasia, I literally had no one to talk to. The relationship between my mom and I was improving, but I could never go to her and talk to her about my dealings with a married man. She would slap me into the middle of next year, and I wasn't trying to hear the shit she would talk. Eventually, I knew I would have to come clean with my parents about everything. They had many questions concerning Christian's paternity, especially since the bullshit Armani posted had gotten back to them. Whenever they asked who his father was, I just changed the subject. I was still pissed off at Armani for that whack-ass shit he pulled. Everywhere I went, I felt like I was being judged, and hoes were looking upside my head. He painted a very ugly picture of me, and everyone who saw his post ate that shit up.

I shared my location with Nyasia so that she could find the house. Nyasia had never seen the house before. Hell, between working the new gig at the bank and being a full-time mother, I barely got a chance to see or talk to her. She didn't even know that Clinton had offered to put me up in his crib, so I had a lot to fill her in on. I purposely left off the incident about Armani putting his hands on me until we were able to have a face-to-face conversation about it. I knew she would be more upset about the altercation than I was. Nyasia didn't play about me, and I damn sure didn't play about her. It was up with anybody when it came down to her.

Thirty minutes later, I heard Nyasia pull into the driveway. I met her crazy ass at the door. Her eyes were wide with a mixture of confusion and excitement.

"Hey, boo!" I greeted.

"Hey, friend! Goddamn, did you hit the jackpot over night or something? How the hell did you find this spot, Jasemine? This shit is nice!"

"Girl, it's been so much going on that I haven't had a chance to tell you anything that's been going on. But for starters, this is one of Clinton's spots. He offered the place to me rent-free and told me we could stay as long as we needed to," I informed.

"Okay, that's what's up. I guess he isn't that bad of a guy after all, huh?"

"No, Nyasia, he's really not. He's a good man, and he's been nothing but good to Christian and me since the day I went to his office to confront him."

"That's even better because I honestly thought I was going to have to get in that nigga's shit. Did y'all get the test done? Wait… I'm confused. How did you end up here, and what did Armani have to say about you leaving?" Nyasia interrogated with a confused look on her face.
