I knew it was hard for CJ to play it cool and let Amber walk out of the house with his kids. That was the last thing he wanted to happen but as a parent, he chose to put his pride aside to make Cianna happy. CJ may have had some fucked-up ways, but one thing I admired about that man was the way he loved his children. His daughter especially. He would bend over backward just to put a smile on her face. Cianna received nothing less than princess treatment from her daddy. I loved that for her because when she got older, she would know how a man was supposed to treat her. CJ was setting the bar high, and she wouldn’t be one of those girls who fell for any and everything a nigga had to say. I was a daddy’s girl myself, so I knew all too well how that went. I always felt sorry for the girls who didn’t get a chance to experience a father’s love. Nothing could compare to it, not even the love of a mother.

I had to give it to Amber for how she played that shit. The shit she executed was genius and destined to work out in her favor. I couldn’t even be mad at her for doing what she felt she needed to do. She was a slick bitch and didn’t mind using the kids as pawns in her wicked ass games. I wasn’t denying the fact that she missed them or even that she wanted what was best for them. Amber loved them, that much had always been apparent, but I felt like she was moving funny. I sat my ass on the couch and observed the whole thing in silence. I didn’t have much to say about what went on with them anymore. As long as she didn’t come at me sideways, I left it up to CJ to handle the rest. It was his job to keep her ass in check anyway. Besides, I didn’t have any say so when it came to what they did with the children they raised together. I didn’t want to step on her toes or make her feel as though I was trying to take her place. I loved and accepted them with open arms because they were a part of him, and that was something she would have to eventually understand and respect. As always, I came in peace and wasn’t trying to cause any problems. Of course, I had to have my own relationship with them, but Amber acted like she was slow and couldn’t understand that. Or maybe she just didn’t want to. That would have been too easy.

CJ didn’t have much to say to me after Amber left with the kids. He let me know that he was going to his mom’s house to visit her and his sisters and that he was taking Christian with him. That worked out perfectly for me because I had to go to Nyasia’s house to meet her new man.
