The grid arrangement (Fig. 7.19) is much stronger and can be difficult to remove. Lines can be removed more easily (Fig. 7.20), but have to be taken off one at a time. More recent versions of Cura offer further support patterns:

Concentric: this follows the outline of the overhung parts, filled in with concentric shells. It has the advantage of supporting well to the edge of parts.

Concentric 3D: instead of separate shells, the support structure is filled with a 3D mesh to make it much stronger.

Triangles: like a grid, but a bit more densely packed to provide very good support.

Zig-zag: like lines, but with alternate ends joined. This style is less likely to suffer from the failure of one of the fill walls than plain lines.
