This is one of our favorite builds by one of our favorite builders. It pulls off the fascinating trick of looking almost exactly like its real-life counterparts (that being modern museums), which in Minecraft’s blocky world is quite hard to do. It’s also a great mash-up of modern and ancient architecture in a way that absolutely makes sense, as well as a tremendous lesson in architecture and compound design. The creator uses water perfectly, and each building is laid out to specific dimensions. We wouldn’t be surprised to hear that Joueur_inconnu is a real-life architect or has some training in the field, and this kind of build shows that Minecraft can be used as a tool for training in such fields as design and architecture. Really though, who could say blocky buildings and straight lines are boring after looking at this? An absolutely beautiful build.
