Would You Like to See the Dessert Menu? by Martha Stone

Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry

1 free range egg, beaten

2 bananas, thickly sliced

¾ cup strawberry jam

½ cup lemon juice

Vanilla ice-cream to serve

Method

Preheat oven to 430F.

Grab out an oven-safe dish.

Pour juice and jam into the bottom of the dish and pop in the oven until it boils.

Remove from the oven and put your bananas in an even layer on the bottom of the dish.

Back into the oven to simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes.

Cut a large circle out of your puff pastry and set it on a pan.
