Now that you have followed all the instructions and have successfully installed your WordPress theme, there are few steps that you will need to complete before you can start customizing your theme:

Follow these steps after installing your WordPress theme:

You will need to begin by setting up your general settings. To do this select Settings and then General from the menu on the left side.

Complete the required fields such as Site Title, Tagline, WordPress Address (URL), Site Address (URL), E-mail Address, Date Format, Time Format and Starting day of the week. Once you have completed these fields then save your changes.

The next step is to delete anything anything default. Select Appearance and then select Themes from the menu on the eft side. Choose any theme that is not your chosen theme or a Genesis theme, if you used Genesis. Hover over the theme(s) that you would like to delete until you see a Theme Details button.
