Her article appeared in Show magazine and brought her instant fame. But it wasn’t the kind of fame Gloria wanted. People criticized her for the article. They thought that a pretty woman working at a Playboy Club wasn’t really an important story. Many people didn’t understand why writing about Playboy Bunnies was even “news.” After the Playboy article, many magazines wouldn’t give Gloria work! They didn’t think of her as a serious journalist.
