Brian carries a variety of methods to make fire because he says that redundancy is key. Where one item fails, another takes its place. He has used all of these items under a variety of extreme conditions and he believes they all compliment each other well and are reliable.

As for lighting, the Tomahawk tactical light comes in a variety of colors, lasts long and is a smaller package than most SureFire brand lights he’s carried. It can light up an area for a search, blind an opponent and be used as an area light. The head lamp is the most versatile illumination tool Brian has ever used. He says the reason why he chose he M6X should be obvious. “I don’t like holding a light in one hand while shooting with the other and I want to hit what I’m aiming at.”
