LORD OF THE DANCE
Some male spiders do elaborate dances to attract mates. One of the most incredible dancers is the peacock spider, a teeny-tiny spider with an amazingly colorful coat. These little guys scoot from side to side, stretching and shaking their legs. They often stick two legs straight up toward the sky, waving them up and down in a way that looks like theyâre clapping. The real showstoppers are their rear ends, thoughâthese are the most colorful parts of the spider, kind of like the tail of a peacock, and they flip them up over their heads and wiggle them around as they dance. CUTE!
WHERE CAN I SEE A SPIDER?
Spiders can be found just about everywhere in the worldâthe only continent they donât live on is Antarctica.
