3.4 Services Are Actions
Most important, services are actions, and actions change the state of the world. They may move around things in the world, or they may only change our state of knowledge. But these are all states of the world, and it is important to distinguish these from the inputs and outputs to services.
Preconditions are the conditions that must be met before the service can be consumed. Examples are: Must have a valid drivers license.
Must have a major credit card.
Must have a reservation.
