It’s a good thing my answer to Sawyer’s question was ‘no’ because as we pull into the dock, I realize we're going out on a boat today.

“So, you up for a boat ride?” Sawyer asks with a smile, but I can see the nervous gleam in his eyes.

“Yes! That sounds exciting.”

“Oh, thank god,” he breathes out, running his hand through his hair. “I was worried you would say no.”

“I love the water. Plus, I’ve been on a few boats with my parents before, and I loved it.”

“Then let me show you to mine,” he says, getting out of the cart and grabbing the basket from the back before coming to my side to help me out. I thank him, grabbing my bag, and we walk down to the dock, hand in hand.

Sawyer leads me down the dock, past some jet skis and small speed boats until we stop before a yacht. It’s not as big as the massive ones all the way at the end, but it’s fairly large and looks pretty new too.

“This is my baby. A Bavaria R55. Got her for my birthday this year,” Sawyer says.

“This is yours?” I gape at him.

“Yeah...” he looks at me nervously, scratching the back of his head. “My parents are kind of...”

“Rich?” I giggle.

“Is that going to be a problem?” he asks, his eyes going wide.

“No, silly. I wanna be with you for you, not what you can or can’t give me.”

“Really?” he asks, looking surprised.

“Sawyer,” I scold him. “I love everything about you. You make me laugh, you care for me, you’re sweet, and so much more. I’m so happy to be here with you today so I can get to know a lot more about you.”

“Me too,” he says, his shoulders relaxing as he gives me a soft smile.

“So, what’s her name?” I ask, checking out the boat.

“Name?” he asks, stepping onto the boat.

“Yeah, don’t all captains name their boats?” I ask, taking his hand as he holds it out for me, helping me up and onto the deck.

“Oh. I haven’t named her,” he says, looking at the boat for a second. “But I think I’ll call it the Pretty Girl, what do you think?” he asks me, grinning.

I blush and smile. “I think it's perfect.”

“Me too,” he agrees. We head up the little stairs and into the main part of the boat.

“Wow,” I say in awe as I take in the interior of the ship. When we first get up to the bridge, there’s a little seating area. Just past that, we step into a mini kitchenette, and next to that is another seating area with a much cozier feel.

“So this is the main part of the cabin. The controls are in here.” He points to the two chairs and a panel of buttons with a screen. “And a second area up on the fly deck. Down below are the bedrooms and bathrooms.”

“How many people does it sleep?” I ask.

“Umm,” he thinks. “Well, there’s two bigger beds that would sleep two each and some singles that would also sleep two.
