We are the Hellingens.

Anja: Heard the news??? >:’-(

Maarten: Yeah shit

Johan: just back from dads. very sad

Maarten: Unbelievable. WTF!?

Johan: that it could come to this

Anja: BItch

Anja: Ssorry

Johan: yeah must be hard for her now too

Maarten: Rightly so. Jesus. Your own sister!

Anja: Wonder whether I should have said something at dads bday

Maarten: Wouldn’t have helped. You know Melodie …

Anja: Sat down and wrote a really long email that night

Anja: That that living on light woman is a charlatan

Anja: Its all over the internet

Johan: I did call them the next day

Anja: I thought if I send all the links

Johan: about all that stuff she said to dad

Anja: About dementia you mean?

Maarten: Couldn’t believe dad invited them in the first place. Wasn’t the first time, was it?

Johan: yeah

Anja: Yeah that was heavy

Anja: But I never sent the email

Anja: Ed said it wasn’t wise

Johan: prob right

Maarten: All the crazy stuff dad told me they’d said to him.

Anja: But what did she say to you Johan?

Maarten: I would’ve just disinherited her.

Johan: hmmm hard to recall

Johan: more or less the same old story

Johan: that they were trying to live together more intensely and we’d never learned that as kids

Johan: and that we’re not in touch with nature either

Johan: and thats why dad forces mum to take medicine

Maarten: How does she get this stuff into her head?

Johan: she wanted to speak her own truth more

Johan: and she felt I was trying to stop her by calling her after

Johan: and I had no right to speak because I’m a man

Johan: because she felt dad was less strict with me and Maarten

Anja: Well …

Maarten: What?

Anja: Well it wasn’t really equal of course

Anja: You never had to help around the house

Maarten: Ouch. OK but it was like that back then.

Anja: Sure and it’s all so long ago. There are worse things

Maarten: I don’t think she ever had to help either.

Maarten: She always had to practice didn’t she?

Anja: Oh yeah

Maarten: If anyone was given preferential treatment by dad it was her. Christ.

Johan: hey, do you mind?

Maarten: Oh pardon me, Reverend ;)

Anja: But did you talk to her about eating as well Johan?

Anja: After dads bday

Johan: well I did say that I thought it was rude to dad not to eat anything at all

Maarten: Plain bad manners right?

Maarten: First insisting that those other two nutters came along, dad having to cough up double, and then all four of them send their plates back to the kitchen.

Anja: But nothing about their health

Maarten: The cheek of it really.

Johan: health?

Anja: You didn’t say it was dangerous, not eating?

Johan: no not specifically

Maarten: Jesus Christ you don’t really think you have to explain to someone that it’s dangerous not to eat …

Johan: Maarten.

Maarten: Sorry Johan but I’m angry. My sister died yeah?

Johan: but can you do that without taking the lord’s name in vain

Johan: I take that as an insult

Maarten: I’ll just shut up then

Anja: Because I was really terribly shocked when I saw what they looked like

Anja: I sat next to Elisabeth and her thighs were about as thin as my arms …

Johan: and she was really turned inward.
