Larry took off his helmet and remained on the Yamaha for twenty minutes. He looked much different now with his hair combed forward, four days of beard, and a brown leather jacket. When Deny Delané came out carrying two satchels, his right shoulder dipped two inches lower than his left from the weight of the heavier bag. When he walked back to his GTO in the car park, Larry hopped off the cycle and scampered behind undetected. He stood behind a pillar three cars over and watched as best he could without being noticed. Inside the GTO, Delané ripped off the packaging and opened the carton. “Très bien,” Larry heard him say loudly. Delané got out of his car and threw the packaging into a trash bin. Then he drove the GTO to the gate, paid his bill, and screeched away.
