The hammock should be about seat height, not so low that it touches the ground when you’re in it and not so high you can’t easily get in and out. Now is a good time to get your sleeping bag laid out in your hammock, this will allow the bags filling (loft) time to expand, increasing its insulating properties to its full potential.

If needed, thread the hammock through the bug net, you may not be able to do this later once the hammock is up. Some you can just drape over once hung.
