Cam drove through town with half an eye on the road and another half watching out for Nathan or one of the other deputies, knowing he was riding the fine line of speeding. The last thing he needed was Nathan putting a stop on the night, especially since he suspected Gabe had already given his buddy the heads-up and would love nothing more than to mess with him a little more. His cousin had been a good sport about running up to the overlook with Emma to set the stage for Cam and Molly but he couldn’t resist being a smart-ass and leaving a few condoms scattered in a few discreet spots, so only Cam could see, even knowing they were unnecessary now that Molly was already pregnant and they had both been celibate so they were clean. His cousin was a real asshole sometimes, even when he was helping Cam out.

And he wouldn’t put it past Gabe to have given Nathan a heads-up so he would mess with Cam a little.

It had been three months since he and Molly had had sex. Three months since he’d caressed her soft skin and felt her come apart in his arms as she’d climaxed. Three months since he’d driven deep inside her and felt her body clench around him. Molly reached across the center console and tangled her hand in his hair, stroking the longer strands that tickled the nape of his neck. Her nails dug into the skin of his scalp, lighting up nerve endings that he had thought were deadened, and he pushed the gas harder, praying the deputies had somewhere else to be that night. Because he sure as hell wasn’t waiting much longer and it seemed like Molly was on the same cliff he was.

They made it to her house with no stops, not even the light in town, thank God. He jumped out of the truck and ran around to the passenger side just as she opened the door. He paused there, caging her in the opening, the moonlight shining down on her. He paused and just stared at her for a long moment.

“God, you’re gorgeous, Molly,” he breathed.

She blushed and held out her arms. “Shut up and take me to bed.”

He plucked her out of the cab by her waist and swung her around. He kicked the door shut and strode to the house, not putting her down, even when she protested, laughing. Once inside, they headed for Molly’s room, kissing on the way. He laid her gently on the bed, lifted his head from a kiss and stared down at her, pausing to savor the moment.

She lifted a hand and cupped his cheek, slowly tracing his jawline until her fingers ran along his lips. He captured her fingers with his mouth, sucking them inside and nipping the tips with his teeth. She drew in a breath, her eyes flaring with desire. He let her fingers go and bent down to take her lips with his, his tongue sweeping in to meet his.
