Myers rushed over to Stephenson and tapped him on the arm to get his attention.

“Just got word from our agent on Milani’s house. She’s on the move.”

“Do we know where she’s heading yet?” Stephenson asked.

“No, just left a few minutes ago. They’re staying with her.”

“Keep one person back at the house still, just in case it’s a diversion.”

“You think maybe Porter knows Milani’s being watched, and this is just something to pull everyone away from the house?”

“I think it’s possible. I’m not sure it’s likely, but I think we should have every scenario covered.”

“How many men do we have on Milani?”

“If one stays at the house, we got three in play,” Myers answered. “She could be meeting Porter somewhere.”

Stephenson nodded, certainly hoping that was the case. “She could.”

“How do you wanna play it?”

“Keep them loose. Let’s not crowd Milani. If she’s going to meet Porter, after what happened to Costa, they’re both going to be on the lookout for us. If they see us tailing, they might scrap the whole thing and move on to a different plan. If they’re planning on meeting and getting together, let them.”

“And if we get both of them in our sights?”

“Take them both out.”

“Even Milani?” Myers asked.

“If Porter was working with Costa, that means he could help her somehow. Whether it’s disappearing, or escorting her somewhere else, or money, or whatever it was, she needed him for something. Since he’s now gone, and Milani’s connected to him, that means she may be able to help Porter as well. We obviously can’t allow that. Once we get both of them together, we take them out together.”
