mata, where she actively supported congenital patients’

daily lives and helped found the group “Cassiopeia.” Later

the group served as a starting point for the Hotto Hausu

center, where she subsequently worked as director. Her

life’s work is disseminating the “treasures” that come from

Minamata disease. She has gone to many places in this ef-

fort—anywhere that people are interested in listening.
