Notes: Abductor was a friend of Hannah’s older cousin. Hannah’s brother and mother were killed during the abduction. Kept in a closet for three months. Friend of perp reported to authorities. Hannah lives with her mother’s best friend and family. Becoming close to social phobic; doesn’t like to leave the house. Taking college courses in graphic design online.

Tell me about the day you were taken. What do you remember about that time?

NOTE: Hannah will not discuss the events of that night. The following note is from the case file provided by the Nampa PD.

Hannah, high school sophomore, lived with mother (41) and brother (14). Father died in a car crash when Hannah was eight. Close family. Mom dated, but no one was serious. Met abductor at a church picnic. The boy was a friend of Hannah’s older cousin. Cousin & abductor worked at a local fast-food restaurant. No one noticed the boy showing particular interest in Hannah, so no threat was perceived. A week after the picnic, the boy broke into the house in the middle of the night, stabbed Hannah’s mother and brother in their sleep, and took Hannah to his house. His parents were out of town for the weekend and had no idea anything was going on.

There’s not that much to tell. I was there for one hundred and four days. George kept me bound and gagged in his closet when his family was home. He brought me out to ‘play with’ when they went to work. He would show me his games, collectibles, comics, stuff like that. He didn’t hurt me or try to have sex with me. I was his pet. He liked to brush my hair and stroke my arms.

I figured out quickly he had a really low IQ. He seemed to think I was a prize, like his comic books. He told me he kept the things he loved and valued the most in his closet to keep them safe when he was gone.

People asked me later why I didn’t run away from him, since he wasn’t very smart. For one, he was really big. I mean, really tall and heavyset, and strong. And he lived with his parents, who were–let’s say not nice. I could hear them fighting, threatening to kill each other. I had no idea how they would react if they found out about me. Like, would they help him so he didn’t get in trouble? It just seemed extra frightening.
