Chapter Fourteen

~ Miles ~

Waking up with Sam in my arms was a dream I seriously thought I'd never realize, and yet here he was. In my arms. Even with the mess with Darla looming over us, I couldn't ever remember being this happy.

We'd spent the last few days getting Sam a new wardrobe, seeing the city, and kind of having a stay-cation honeymoon. I still planned to take him to Italy when the time was right.

There had been no sign of Darla or her family, and that worried me. Even with the small tracker Norris implanted in Sam's hand, I had a hard time letting him out of my sight. Having Burke around helped, but I was paranoid as hell. I wasn't sure that my possessiveness would end when Darla was gone.

"Morning, baby boy," I crooned softly when Sam started to stir. I stroked my hand gently down the side of his face, needing to touch him and relearn each inch of his beautiful features. My heart stuttered in my chest when he turned his head and smiled at me.

"Morning, sir," Sam murmured.

"You're awfully cute when you're sleeping."

I laughed softly at the blush of color that filled Sam's face. I didn't want to make any louder sound as it might break the intimate bubble surrounding us.

"On your side, baby boy." My heart started beating faster with the knowledge that I was going to claim Sam again. "Pull your leg up."

Once Sam had rolled over onto his side, I scooted up behind him. I leaned over and licked up Sam's spine, moaning in delight when Sam's unique taste hit my tongue.

No one tasted like my baby boy.

Sam groaned and arched his back, pressing his ass back toward my groin. I ran my hands down Sam's arms as I leaned closer to whisper into his ear, "Someone likes that, don't they?"

"Yes," Sam hissed.

He tilted his head to the side, baring more of his neck. I took it for the invitation that it was and started nibbling along the corded muscles on Sam's neck. I hungrily ate up every single shudder, every moan that fell from Sam's lips.

Every time my gaze met Sam's, my heart turned over in response. The longing in Sam's vivid sky-blue eyes drove my desire to new heights.

Sam's very nearness was overwhelming.

I took Sam's face in my hand and held it gently, tilting it toward me. "You are mine, Sam," I whispered just before I lowered my lips to Sam's. My kiss was slow and thoughtful, sending shivers of desire racing through me.

I traced the fullness of Sam's lips with my tongue, groaning when I felt Sam's tongue dart out and brush against mine. I deepened the kiss, my tongue pushing in to explore the recesses of Sam's mouth as I gave myself freely to the passion pounding through me.

I moved my hand down Sam's neck to his chest, searching for pleasure points. I wanted Sam to feel everything I was feeling through my touch. I slid my hand along Sam's silken chest to one hardened nipple.
