muhurmuhurjagaccitra-syānyānyāṁ sthitimūhitum /

śaktiryā te tayā nātha ko manasvī na vismitaḥ //81//

Jagat citrasya anyānyām sthitim, jagat citrasya, the varieties of this creation of the universe, the various creations of this universe, how is it done, which way is it done, how is it adopted, how is it adjusted (this whole creation of one hundred and eighteen worlds),155 and which energy does this, which energy is put by Lord Śiva to complete this whole creation of nature, while thinking of That energy (what energy is that existing here that works in each and every blade of grass, in trees, in plants, in human beings, in mountains, everywhere, in streams), with this verification, just to investigate, when you investigate this strength and the way which it is being adjusted to create this whole universe, the varieties of the universe, ko manasvī na vismitaḥ (manasvī means, all of those informed souls), those who are intellectually advanced souls, they have failed to understand, they have failed to understand how it is done, how it is adjusted. You can’t imagine this adjustment, how it is done, how it is . . .

DEVOTEE: How it takes place.

SWAMIJI: For instance, you are conceived. How is it done, how is it adjusted, how is it handled, you can’t understand, you become just confused. Not only this, everywhere you will find the same greatness of That power that works secretly everywhere.

JOHN: This power is prāṇana?

SWAMIJI: Prāṇana,156 but derived from Lord Śiva Himself.157
